In Outlook for Windows go to Send/Receive tab | Send/Receive Groups | Define Send/Receive Groups | select ‘All Accounts’ then click Edit. That’s why the email draft ‘handover’ ability isn’t obvious. That will make any drafts available on other machines which also sync the Drafts folder.īy default, Outlook for Windows does NOT synchronize the Drafts folder with the cloud/server mailbox.
The trick is synchronizing the Drafts folder with the Exchange Server mailbox. In recent Outlook release it will appear in the right-hand pane (see above). The message editor will open and you can resume writing. To resume working on a draft message, just double-click on it. Your Drafts folder probably has some old partial messages that were saved before an Outlook or Windows crash. If the contacts are there, great! If not, then here’s what might be happening: Now you can go back and check your contacts folder once more. To connect to the pst-file just go to File > Open > Op en Outlook Data File. If your contacts didn’t show up in the Contacts Folder in the first place, but you still have access to the original PST file, then the first thing to do is copy it over to the new computer, and make sure you DO NOT overwrite any pst-files in this process.
